My Story

One Question Changed Everything

I was in my early twenties working as a bank teller making minimum wage. One day a customer came in and I noticed how she carried herself. I asked her what she did for a living.

She said she was a Leasing Specialist. I asked if you needed a college degree. She said no. She connected me to a staffing agency, I registered while keeping my full time job, and they placed me on a weekend temp assignment at Baymeadows in Jacksonville, Florida. The early 1990s. That is where it all started.

The agency later transitioned me to Atlanta where I accepted what was supposed to be a one day assignment. That one day became my career to this day.
